Bjork to play New York classical halls for new album

Bjork to play New York classical halls for new album Bjork plans a series of intimate concerts at New York classical halls as the experimental Icelandic singer releases her new album in March. Bjork on her website announced shows on March 7 and 14 at Carnegie Hall, one of the world's premier classical venues, followed by four concerts at the nearby New York City Center, which is home to dance performances. The singer, who has not released an album for four years, will also be the focus of a previously announced retrospective in March at New York's Museum of Modern Art, and she is scheduled to play the city's Governors Ball festival in June. Bjork's last album, 2011's "Biophilia," was a wildly ambitious production that used multimedia including smartphone apps to explore the links between technology, music and nature.
