Van Halen announces tour after cancellations
Hard rock giants Van Halen on Tuesday announced an extensive North American tour, three years after the band canceled dates due to exhaustion. Van Halen, known for energetic party songs in the 1980s such as "Jump" and "Panama," will open the tour on July 5 in Seattle. Van Halen, led by Dutch-born brothers Eddie and Alex Van Halen along with singer David Lee Roth, will play large venues across the United States and Canada through October 2 in Los Angeles. The band toured for five months in 2012 but then called off three more months of shows, fueling rumors of tensions among the veteran rockers.
