Chairs Go Flying At NYC Casino As Dozens Brawl (VIDEO) NEW YORK (AP) -- Police say a melee involving dozens of people erupted at New York City racetrack casino, where a bar opening devolved into a chair-flinging, glass-shattering fight.
Three people were arrested or ticketed on disorderly conduct charges, and a police officer and several other people were injured in Friday's brawl. It began at the opening of a Fat Tuesday daiquiri bar at the Resorts World Casino at the Aqueduct track in Queens.
Police say officers arrived just before midnight to find about two dozen people enmeshed in fights in the casino's food court.
Some of the hundreds of onlookers posted video of showing people punching each other and brandishing chairs and rope-line stanchions.
A representative for New Orleans-based Fat Tuesday hasn't immediately returned a call Saturday. A casino representative wasn't immediately available to comment.
